Diwali is the Thavnairian festival of lights.

Diwali celebrates the victory of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance. The lights of Diwali are lit in honor of the Lady of Bliss, Lakshmi, patron of beauty and the Goddess of Pakshee's Ananta staff. Ananta observance of Diwali is a spiritual affair, focused on storytelling and togetherness, including the bonds of found family similar to the Thavnairian holiday of Raksha Bandhan.

Another aspect of Diwali is a seeking of prosperity. As Diwali starts the traditional year in Radz-at-Han, it is a moment to seek favor for the year ahead. Fortunetelling and gambling are commonplace as is offering prayers for success and wealth to the Sisters (or Nald'thal if you're Eorzean) for the year ahead.

Celebrate this major annual festival with the Bandee Pakshee, your source of Hannish comforts and pleasures in the cold climes of Coerthas, and light a candle for beauty, family, and fortune.

Diwali Activities

Storytelling

Aki Shibunuri takes to the Pakshee stage to tell stories of light and darkness, fortune, and renewal, among others, as part of the Pakshee's Diwali celebration.

Tarot Reading

From our friends at Star Garden, the legendary mystic Headmistress Salem Kitsu-Chaontis has come to read fortunes for Pakshee's patrons this Diwali. What does your future hold? The cards know. Do you want to?

Gambling

Bandee Pakshee has partnered with House of Virtue to bring a new gambling game to Diwali, as part of the tradition of games of chance and the pursuit of fortune in the year ahead.

Ananta Crafts and Hannish Imports

A tradition is acquiring a gold trinket on Diwali. We provide some gold trinkets from our Ananta staff. But don't worry! If you're more interested in Hannish goods, Bandee Pakshee is a proud importer! And while we're at it, don't forget to sample the fine food of the Lotus Lounge!
